How Seeded works
Seeded is a free tennis pool game for ATP and WTA tournaments. There are no entry fees, payments or prizes.
Pick a tournament
Start a pool for any ATP or WTA event in the app, or join a friend's with their code. You can use the men's draw, the women's draw, or both in one pool.
Pick one player per tier
Players are grouped into tiers by ranking, so every tier has similar strength. You choose one from each tier before the pool locks.
Score points as they play
For every match: 1 point per game won minus games lost, 2 points per set won minus sets lost, and 8 for winning the match. A walkover gives the player who goes through the 8 points for the win, and the other player nothing. A player with a first-round bye gets the 8 points for the bye when they win their first match, and nothing for it if they lose. A retirement counts the games already played.
Best picks count
Your total is your best scoring picks (shown on the pool page). If two entries tie, the one that first had a full team ranks higher, and changing picks later does not change that.
Picks lock at the tournament start
Pools lock no earlier than the tournament start, so the draw is out first. Teams stay hidden until the lock, then everyone can see every team and who picked whom.
Withdrawals
If a pick withdraws before the lock, they are replaced by a random player from the same tier and you are notified. After the lock there is no random replacement. If the withdrawn player never played and a lucky loser takes their place in the draw, that lucky loser joins your team in their spot automatically and you are notified. If no lucky loser comes in, the spot scores nothing.
Worked example
Your player wins 6-3 4-6 6-4. Games: 16 won, 13 lost, so +3. Sets: 2 won, 1 lost, so +1 set, which is 2 points. Match win: 8. Total: 3 + 2 + 8 = 13 points for that match.
